Information exchange for retired personnel from Anaheim Fire Department

Old Temporary Station Six

I just spoke to Gary Evert and he says everyone is right.

After he retired he grew long hair and a beard. One afternoon he visited temporary station six. It happened to be the day of the annual inspection. As a joke the crew had him go lay down next to the dumpster. The plan was to setup Chief Bowman. B/C Steve Pillar arrived first, and saw Gary.

He told them that they had to get rid of the bum by the dumpster before the Chief arrived. They drug their feet until Jeff arrived. He  saw the bum and also said he had to go. Scott Roberts went over and kicked Gary and told him the Chief wants you to leave. Gary got up and started toward everyone. It wasn't until he took off his glasses and said something to the effect of "Jeff don't you recognize me." That's when Jeff realized he had been set up.

not sure CJ, someone said it was Pillar, that sounds right. Don't think we'd set up Jeff.

Oh yeah Rick, the temp across from station 6 has some stories too. So lucky to have AA meetings next door. We can't forget Gary Everett dressed like a bum all curled up on the sidewalk.......then the BC shows up and tells us to get rid of the homeless guy. Can't remember who the BC was. Who remembers?

What about Gary Everett bumming out on the front porch and Pillar thought he was a homeless guy
